World Blood Donor Day | Taking the Lead in Voluntary Blood Donation
June 14 is recognized globally as World Blood Donor Day, a reminder of blood's essential role as a life-sustaining resource. As a critical means of supporting patients and those affected by trauma, blood relies solely on the altruistic contributions of healthy citizens.
In alignment with promoting the values of voluntary blood donation, CYG organized blood drives across multiple sites from June 11 to June 13, 2024, gathering 83 participants and achieving a total donation of 28,100 ml.
This initiative is part of CYG’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility. Since 2001, CYG has held numerous blood donation events, with over 1,200 participants contributing close to 300,000 cc of blood. Many employees have remained committed to this cause for years, exemplifying a deep, collective dedication to social welfare and community support.
On this occasion, CYG expresses sincere appreciation to each donor, acknowledging that their contributions—literal lifelines—are instrumental in sustaining the lives of those in need.
Let us continue to embrace voluntary blood donation as a vital social responsibility, furthering the profound impact of giving the gift of life.
