Official Launch of CYG’s Carbon Neutrality Planning
Climate change is a common challenge faced by humanity, and “carbon neutrality” is one of the solutions to this challenge. In 2020, General Secretary Xi Jinping first proposed the “30-60 Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutrality” targets at the 75th United Nations General Assembly, signaling the start of China’s dual carbon action.
As a key player in achieving these goals, enterprises are facing a historic transformation challenge. The dual carbon targets require all industries to reassess their corporate strategies, operational models, and competitive landscapes. Since its establishment in 1986, Changyuan Technology Group Ltd.(CYG) has safeguarded the safety, stability, and reliability of power grids, leveraging intelligent and digital products and technologies to promote efficient energy use. We aim to use our deep technical expertise and experience to empower the green energy ecosystem and actively fulfill our corporate social responsibility.
To further develop a clean, low-carbon, safe, and efficient energy utilization system and deepen our sustainable development strategy, CYG held a project launch meeting for carbon peak and carbon neutrality planning on March 31. Representatives from 81 subsidiaries participated in the meeting to jointly embark on the path of low-carbon sustainable development.
At the meeting, Ms.Sun Meiyang, Director of the Chairman's Office, spoke on behalf of CYG: “As a publicly listed company, we hope to proactively join the ranks of pioneers in achieving dual carbon goals from the perspective of social responsibility. As the leading entity in this strategic project, we aim to strengthen energy consumption management by developing a scientifically sound carbon neutrality plan. Additionally, we intend to accumulate project experience for the industry, establish benchmarks, and enhance our brand and products, creating greater value through our carbon neutrality strategy. In the future, once the path is clearly planned, we will gradually integrate carbon reduction into our corporate management and business development strategies, achieving our carbon neutrality goals in the most suitable manner.”
Deputy General Manager Mr.Hou Lin from CYG SUNRI stated, “Through this project, we hope to assist CYG in comprehensively identifying sources of greenhouse gas emissions and analyzing carbon emissions in the supply chain. Based on historical emissions over the past three years and future corporate strategic planning, we will provide each company with a carbon emissions inventory report and a carbon neutrality path planning report for the next three years, establishing economically viable low-carbon management goals and reduction plans. We believe that under CYG’s correct leadership and with the efforts of all companies, we can accomplish this meaningful work with high quality.”
To promote energy saving and carbon reduction, the launch meeting primarily adopted an online participation model, striving to create a “low-carbon meeting” and significantly reduce CO2 emissions caused by personnel gatherings.
In the context of the national “30-60 dual carbon” policy, CYG will establish a top-level design for “carbon peak and carbon neutrality,” actively promote related carbon reduction measures, maintain a steadfast strategic position, focus on key areas and critical links, and forge a green low-carbon development path unique to CYG. We aim to contribute to the comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development and the harmonious coexistence of humanity and nature.
