CYG Achieves Annual Operational Carbon Neutrality
Recently, the CYG Intelligent Industrial Park, located in Zhuhai High-tech Zone, successfully completed its carbon neutrality certification for operational activities in 2023. This significant achievement marks the park’s second consecutive year of reaching its carbon neutrality goals.
Through the integration of rooftop photovoltaic systems and energy storage solutions, the park reduced its electricity-related emissions by approximately 280 tons of CO2 in 2023 compared to 2022, effectively promoting resource recycling and waste avoidance.
The implementation of carbon neutrality in the park was carried out by Changyuan Comprehensive Energy (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd.(CYG CE), a subsidiary of Changyuan Technology Group Ltd.(CYG). Using the international standard ISO 14064-1:2018, which quantifies and reports greenhouse gas emissions and removals at the organizational level, the company calculated the category 1 and category 2 greenhouse gas emissions and issued a report. This report was verified by a third-party certification body, CTI (China Testing International), authorized by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS), following ISO 14064-3 guidelines. The carbon neutrality results were certified in accordance with PAS 2060.
CYG Intelligent Industrial Park officially opened in 2020 and launched a carbon peak and carbon neutrality pathway planning project in 2022. In the future, CYG will continue to integrate green and low-carbon operational concepts into all management processes, enhance low-carbon operational systems, fulfill its social responsibilities, and contribute to the achievement of the “30-60” dual carbon goals.
